Here, the contrapuntal severity of Johann Sebastian Bach merges with the rhythmic, passionate tonal colors of the Levant. What happens when Baroque harmony meets the improvised soul of the Levant? When violin meets oud, fugue meets irregular rhythms, German depth meets Oriental melancholy?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u201eBach al Beiruti\u201c is the answer: a cultural bridge, a tribute to what connects us. Between lines of notation and the sounds of the street, this project tells of identity, transformation, and the universal language of music.
